#4 WARRIOR Attitude of Mind

A WARRIOR’S PRAYER Lao Tzu . www.pedalaussie.com I am what I am. In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust. In softness I have strength. In silence I walk with the Gods. In peace I understand myself and the world, In conflict I walk away. In detachment I am free. In respecting all living things, I respect myself. In dedication I honor the courage with on me. In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things. In love, I unconditionally accept the God force within me. In service, I give of what I become. I am what I am. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tao Te Ching – Lao Tzu Chapter 22 www.pedalaussie.com Yield and overcome.

Bend and be straight. Empty and be full.

Wear out and be new. Have little and gain.

Have much and be confused. Therefore, wise men embrace the One. And set an example to all.

Not putting on a display. They shine forth. Not justifying themselves,

they are distinguished. Not boasting,

they receive recognition. Not bragging,

they never falter. They do not quarrel,

so no one quarrels with them.

Therefore, the ancients say,

“Yield and Overcome.” It is that empty saying. Be really whole, and all things will come to you. Eternal, Immortal, Universal, and Infinite. And so be it! -----------------------------------------------------------------------

CANOE CRAFT - Ted Moores comment: “I don’t feel like I am helping people. More sharing what you’ve got.” Ref: Moores, Ted, 2000, Canoe Craft, Published by Firefly Books Ltd, Ontario, Canada. I, David Turner from www.pedalaussie.com appreciate and like that sentiment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Acknowledging the good, that you already have in your life, is the foundation for all abundance. Eckhart Tolle ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tao Te Ching - Lao Tzu Wisdom Quotes - www.pedalaussie.com Be still like a mountain and flow like a great river. A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.

Then I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.

If you do not change direction you will end up where you are heading. Be so good they cannot ignore you.

What the caterpillar calls the end, the rest of the world calls a butterfly.

When you are content to be simply yourself, and do not compare or compete, everyone will respect you. New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings. To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 13 VIRTUES Benjamin Franklin in his Autobiography. 1.
